Undoubtedly, one of the most important pillars of a country’s progress and development is attention to scientific research and the advancement of modern technologies. Mathematics and Computer Science, as two foundational fields, not only provide the theoretical backbone for many branches of basic sciences, but in recent decades, they have played a significant role in designing advanced models, analyzing big data, and creating new technologies. Today, these two disciplines hold a key position in enhancing the scientific level of universities and guiding industries toward innovation and global competitiveness.

The Vice Dean for Research of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, Iran University of Science and Technology, in line with this strategic mission, announces its programs as follows:

  1. Strengthening problem-oriented research with a focus on the real needs of society and industry.

  2. Expanding international collaborations with reputable universities and research centers.

  3. Utilizing modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and advanced simulations in research.

  4. Creating joint research opportunities for faculty members and graduate students.

  5. Organizing innovative scientific events, including idea competitions, skill-development workshops, and research exhibitions.

  6. Recruiting capable researchers and faculty members in emerging and interdisciplinary fields.

  7. Establishing specialized research centers in applied and technological areas.

  8. Extensive collaboration with incubators and knowledge-based companies for the commercialization of research achievements.

  9. Strengthening the School’s connections with governmental and private sector institutions for the definition and implementation of national large-scale projects.

  10. Encouraging the publication of scientific achievements in reputable international journals and the registration of applied patents.

The School of Mathematics and Computer Science, relying on its valuable scientific and human resources, is fully prepared to establish extensive collaboration with industries and research centers in innovative and efficient research endeavors, and to invite capable researchers in interdisciplinary and applied fields to join.
